A Review: Creeky Tree

The Deets:
This gem is all kinds of amazing. Situated next to a driving range AND a car wash, it means that you can grab a breakfast, let your little one play and get your car cleaned all at the same time (#Winning).
Find it at 47 Boeing Road West, Bedfordview, 2007. (Next to Gilloolys Farm) : Open 9.00am – 4.00pm (Tues – Sun)
Creeky Tree has two Lapa areas that can be booked out for functions – either for kids birthdays, baby showers and sometimes even year-end functions.

The food:
Creeky Tree has a beautiful restaurant area that stretches the entirety of the under-cover patio. You can grab full breakfasts, burgers, toasted sandwiches, a (small) kids section on the menu, and of course Coffee. They also have a liquor licence (because a glass of bubbly never killed anyone).

The Atmosphere:
This place boasts a rustic, down-to-earth atmosphere (which I love – because pretentious places are boring). Here you’ll find family’s kicking it while they watch their kids play. Play dates (which are really for the moms sanity) are a must at this venue. They are also hosting a family Christmas lunch (that looks awesome) AND they are setting up a slip n' slide from the 16th December (This is definitely something that we're going to be taking advantage of!)
Cost:
This is honestly the most cost effective kids restaurant I’ve been to. You can grab a breakfast for as little as R30.00 (yes, read that again). Obviously costs depend on what you order, but I got 2 adult breakfasts, 2 coldrinks, 2 cappuccinos, a kids juice and a kids meal all for under R200.00 – that’s pretty damn reasonable.

Child Friendly Aspect:
The kids area has two large wooden jungle gyms, a trampoline, a set of swings, a sandpit (under the jungle gym – which is great for shade cover) AND a mini soccer goal post.
No child minders here, but the setup of the restaurant ensures that you can always keep an eye on your little ones.
The bathroom has a baby changing station. Because the venue is geared towards toddlers and up, they don’t have high chairs (but if your tot is anything like mine, then your lap works just fine for the five minutes that they’ll sit anyway).
My favourites:
My current favourite thing to order here is the French toast, mostly because it’s one of those things that my kid will always nibble off my plate and I’m constantly stressing that he’s not eating enough (#MomLife) – plus it’s effing delicious! Their toasties are also AMAZING.
